Now the Reigate Fire Brigade has taken over. I wonder if they know what went on here between 1939-1945 Nor all bad I must say. As we were taught that God would take of us, so we had no fear when the Rockets/Doodle Bugs use to go over on their way to London.

The person in the two pictures of the Argocat is Fm. Donald Bambridge BEM. Ti his picture is taken on the forecourt of Reigate fire station with the water tender ladder alongside. Subsequently the Argocat was when purchased attached to Dorking fire station, where I served. The Argocat was judged to be a bit of a 'white Elephant' as I don't remember it being used very much if at all operationally. The other picture is of the vehicle being tryled and is seen leaving the drill yard up a bank onto the cricket field at St Davids Reigade, driven by Donald Bambridge BEM.
