The Newbury Steeplechase illustrated above, was of much interest, and the success of Mr. W. Parsonage's Master Billie (shown on the left above) over Top Light and Sprig (on the right) caused the winner to be considered more seriously for the Grand National Steeplechase than had previously been the case.
